SOOS is delighted to welcome Dr. Sarat Chandra Tripathy as the newest member of the SOOS Executive Committee (EXCOM). Dr. Tripathy has been selected as SOOS Vice Chair, joining Andrew Meijers, Wolfgang Rack, and Irene Schloss in leading the SOOS mission.

At the same time, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Sian Henley, who is stepping down after more than four years of dedicated service on the SOOS EXCOM. Sian’s leadership and tireless efforts have been instrumental in advancing SOOS, and we are deeply grateful for her contributions. We hope to continue benefiting from her wisdom as a member of the SOOS alumni community. As part of this transition, Wolfgang Rack will rotate into the role of SOOS Co-Chair. We congratulate everyone on their new roles and look forward to the continued success and impact of SOOS in the years ahead!
